FAQs

What if the weather is not favorable for nature session?

If the weather does not cooperate on the day of our appointment, we have the option of phone/video appointment. I encourage my clients to hold our sessions outside unless it's raining or snowing. Even if the weather is not ideal, my clients mention feeling much better after our sessions in nature.

Why nature counselling? Benefits?

Just being in nature has a natural calming and relaxing effect on the mind and body. Holding our sessions in such an environment allows a more laid back and calming approach to therapy that being in an office may not provide.

I am only available for appointments in the evenings and weekends. Do you have appointments available then?

Yes, I take appointments both in the evenings and weekends depending on availability.

Will my benefits cover me for Mindfree counselling?

Some benefit plans will only cover a registered psychologist. Counsellors may be covered by your extended health insurance benefit plan. Contact your employer, HR department, or your insurance provider directly. If your plan covers counselling sessions, ask if you will be covered for certified professional counselling sessions. I will provide you with a receipt for our counselling sessions together which you may submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement.

What is your cancellation policy?

I have a 24-hour cancellation policy. Appointments cancelled with less than 24-hour notice will be charged a percentage of the cost. Missed sessions will be charged the full fee.

Where are you located?

My sessions are are available in Burnaby, Coquitlam and Port Moody with a variety of lakes, ocean inlets, parks, and trails I take my clients.
